I can only vaguely remember a time when I didn’t play the guitar. I have a memory of a holiday in Spain, visiting a music shop and my parents letting me spend my entire holiday money on a classical guitar. I must have been about 6.

Since then, I’ve played pretty much every style you can think of. Some professional work and lots of live playing, but mainly for fun. Sometimes I was completely obsessed – spending every waking moment playing. Other times I’d leave it alone for months at a time, without any inclination to play. Eventually though, it always calls me back, no matter where I am in my life.

There’s always one more gig to play!
